Today is #WorldRainforestDay and did you know we have our very own #rainforests here on #Mull?
Temperate #rainforest is a rare habitat worldwide - rarer even than tropical rainforests! These mainly coastal forests have a special 'oceanic' climate, which is very wet and mild, due to landscape and warm ocean currents. They are one of our most biodiverse habitats with some of the richest assemblages of lichens, mosses and liverworts in Europe.
