We had a great adventure on the Ardnamurchan peninsula yesterday. It started with snow showers as we crossed the Sound of Mull on route to Kilchoan. We soon came across a small party of adult Whooper Swans in a secluded lochan, on a fuelling stop, on route to Iceland.
Manx Sheawaters and Gannets were seen in very healthy numbers tackling the strong north winds with ease. Ringed Plovers, Curlew, Common Sandpipers and House Martins were also enjoyed on the day.
When the sun came out the geo-diversity all around us looked even more spectacular with a sprinkling of snow on top!
