THE ISLE OF MULL WILDLIFE EXPEDITION WITH IOLO WILLIAMS

We managed to encounter Otters in numerous places around the island, including 3 separate sightings on our evening excursion on day 1!

On the first couple of days we checked a few historical sites for Hen Harriers to no avail but got rewarded with some nice views of these majestic raptors on the south of the isle later in the week!

After a couple of tries we got to see the wintering male Kingfisher at Lochdon. We also saw around 30 Turnstones at Knock lay-by. On a night drive we saw a Tawny Owl perched up on a pylon and also Woodcock at dusk and 1 adult Whooper Swan roadside on the Mishnish lochs. Small flocks of Skylarks were seen around the island during the 5 days. During a sunny walk on Calgary beach we found 2 dead Puffins and a dead Grey Seal pup. Goose Barnacles were amazing to see on a bit of driftwood (pictured).
