The Isle of Mull Wildlife Experience with Iolo Williams - day one
Glorious sunshine on Mull and in the first 15 minutes of the tour we had Golden Eagle right overhead and a sky dancing Hen Harrier!!
We persevered in some traditional reptile sites and got four beautiful male Adders and a few skittish Viviparous Lizards.
After a refreshments break we spotted two adult Golden Eagles on a distant cairn which confirmed territory occupancy for a monitored site.
Another interesting record was a bat species out hunting at 3pm!
We finished the tour by watching a Great-northern Diver roost build up to fifty plus birds along with a Slavonian Grebe roost of four. As the light dropped further we watched five Mountain Hares, Red Deer and Fallow Deer.
Can't wait to get back out there tomorrow!
