It was amazing to watch a party of adult Whooper Swans land in the bay and then see the resident Mute Swans become highly aggressive towards them as they attempted to chase them all off! On the Tuesday afternoon we had great views of an Otter along with an adult White-tailed Eagle perched up on the sheltered side of a spruce plantation, away from the wet and wild weather.
This morning we had one of the most action-packed wildlife experiences I have ever had on a tour! As soon as we set foot on the moors there seemed to be wildlife all around us, starting with two Red Deer stags roaming through the rough grassland. Following this we had Golden Eagles interlocking talons and cartwheeling on the wing, White-tailed Eagles soaring overhead, another Golden Eagle at very close quarters getting mobbed by Hooded Crows, Hen Harriers working the distant hillside, Long-tailed Tits, Buzzards, Kestrels, Ravens, Coal Tits and a cock Stonechat.
